Proving AI transparency: what an inspector may ask for
A visible notice is not enough. The useful file is a register, a display log, and dated scans — not a legal opinion.
Article 50 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 requires users to be informed. If an authority asks, the point is not a score: it is showing what was displayed, when, and for which system.
Three practical pieces: a register of AI systems (tool, vendor, use); a dated log of displayed notices, with no visitor personal data; dated scans of the homepage and linked legal pages.
A one-off PDF left in a folder helps little. Useful proof is continuous: each day the notice is shown, the counter increases. That is a compliance log, not a single audit.
